ESG Rating

We have chosen to undergo an audit in order to obtain the ESG sustainability rating, a summary evaluation that assesses the ability of a company and more generally of an economic entity to manage environmental, social and governance aspects.

The ESG sustainability rating takes into account three factors, the initials of which form its acronym:

  • Environmental
  • Social
  • Governance

The results of the ESG rating highlight many positive aspects as well as some critical issues, on which we will focus our attention, turning them into an incentive to refine our roadmap towards the 2030 goal. Our aim is to reach this with the knowledge that we have contributed to the best of our ability to the achievement of the development goals set out in the UN 2030 Agenda.

Environmental Environmental factor that considers the risks linked to climate change, and therefore actions to reduce CO2 emissions, improve energy efficiency, and streamline the use of natural resources, the adoption of policies to combat pollution of production sites, and the implementation of practices linked to circularity in the use of resources.
Social Social factor that considers policies to improve the working environment, welfare, trade union relations, gender, ability and age diversity, labour standards, safety in the workplace and respect for human rights.
Governance A factor of corporate governance that concerns ethics and transparency, the presence of independent or non-executive directors, diversity in the composition of boards of directors, the development of sustainability plans and goals related to board remuneration, control procedures, policies and, more generally, the behaviour of top management and the company in terms of ethics and compliance.
